40 Years Ago Thursday, Dec. 30, 1966 -- Letter To The Editor
To the editor:
Where's the pavement?
The other day the city's street department came up and graded Fair Oaks Drive. They did a splendid job. It's a pity it won't last.
When it rains we'll be right back in the same muddy ruts (would you believe wells?), and billows of dust when it doesn't.
Since we pay our fair share of taxes, it seems to me that we should have a better maintained street than one that gets graded semi-annually. -- Larry Shaw
10 years ago Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1996 -- Pole bending style
