It’s a matter of perception

At this time of year, everyone is coming out with their “lists.” They talk about the top stories, the top TV shows, the top diets or the top choices for desserts in 2007.

I don’t know about you, but when I look at these “best of 2007” lists I always wonder why that particular item was considered so great. Sometimes I haven’t even heard of some of these terrific items. At the end of year I always like to reflect on what I have, what I’ve learned and what I have gained that will serve me well in the next year.

I have truly great friends in this community, I appreciate all of them. I have gained a wonderful experience at the Valley Post and everything that it touches. And, I so much look forward to serving the Post, it’s staff and our community in 2007.

In my estimation, 2007 will be a great year! I wish the best for everyone in the New Year.
