Anderson River Park is hosting the 7th Annual Kids’ Fishing Day and Family Fun Fest on April 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Booths will feature food, activities, games and face painting. The Cascade School district will present stage performances from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The ponds will be stocked with trout for good fishing to encourage families to participate.

If you can’t bring your own equipment, the Dept. of Fish and Game will provide some loaner poles and bait for anglers under the age of 16. Older anglers must have a valid fishing license before getting a hook wet.

This event is dog, alcohol, tobacco and drug free. For more information, contact Anderson Parks and Recreation at 378-6656 or Anderson Partnership for Healthy Children at 378-6060.
