Ann Albaugh
Anderson High School
George Wold, Agriculture teacher at Anderson Union High School, nominated senior Ann Albaugh as Student of the Month for March.
“She has an incredible Future Farmer’s of America (FFA) project with her dairy cows and beef cattle. She produced a 16-page newspaper for the FFA.”
“Ann is a very hard working young lady who has an incredible amount of talent. She set very high goals for herself and reaches them through hard work and dedication,” Wold said.
Albaugh is in the sixth generation of diversified agriculture with registered native shorthorn herds in the U.S. She has been showing registered milking shorthorns, Holsteins and Ayrshires, for about eight years in 10 different county fairs in Calif. and Nev. and is chairman of the petting zoo at the Shasta District Fair.
Zach Enmark
Anderson New Technology High School
A positive attitude, willingness to help others and his “can do” manner were the factors for Sophomore Zach Enmark being named the March Student of the Month at New Technology High School.
Teacher Cathy Alderman said that “Zach is respectful to all and always has a smile for peers as well as staff.”
“Zach works hard an sets a positive example every day,” she continued.
When not in school one might find Zach fishing. His favorite spots are the coast and Lake Shasta.
After graduation Zach is looking at the possibility of going to Oregon State for more schooling.
Rachel Leuck
West Valley High School
Senior Rachel Leuck is WVHS Student of the Month for March.
Don Ray, Activities Administrator, said “Rachel was nominated for her hard work and dedication to West Valley High School.”
“She is a standout academically in the classroom, is very active in Leadership and works very hard as an office aid,” Ray continued.
The Merit Scholar for the fall semester has never had lower than a 4.0+ Grade Point Average and is in the Associated Student Body where she is the Vice President/Secretary/Treasurer.
“Rachel enjoys horseback riding, journalism and photojournalism, traveling, running, laughing and hanging out with best friends,” said Ray.
She plans to attend college in New Hampshire or in Massachusetts majoring in Political Science with a minor in photojournalism.
