The Anderson Union High School Lady Cubs basketball teams hosted the Willows Honkers Wednesday night and sent the Honkers away with broken wings.

The evening opened with the junior varsity defeating the Willows JV team 38-27.

The varsity Lady Cubs began strong against the Willows team, which failed to score during the first three minutes. The quarter ended with a score of 15-2, and at the half the score was 29-8. With rotating players for the Cubs and a probable pep talk for the Honkers the third quarter ended 43-16 and the final score was 51-24.

On Jan. 3-5 the Lady Cubs will travel up the hill to West Valley for their Holiday Classic and then on Jan. 8 they will host Las Plumas at home.
