New memorial honors wounded vets

VETS MEMORIAL: The new marble memorial for combat-wounded veterans at the Northern California Veterans Cemetery, 11800 Gas Point Road, Igo, was dedicated May 28 by State Commander Leon Thomas from the Order of the Purple Heart dedicated at a Memorial Day ceremony. The memorial walkway was designed by Sharrah Dunlap and Sawyer, Inc. of Redding and then approved by the California Department of Veterans Affairs.
