West Valley coach Greg Grandell and other football coaches are employed during the summer months to put on football camps sponsored by Western Sports. The defensive camps can build a more aggressive tackler said Grandell.
“Summer football makes fall champions,” he said. Last week both Anderson and West Valley high schools attended a football camp at Red Bluff High School.
There will be another camp July 20-22 at South Tahoe High School, South Lake Tahoe and then another on July 29 at Siskiyou High School.
So far this year there have been camps in Santa Cruz and Bakersfield.
