Editor:
I just wanted to thank Paul Robeson for the great pictures and coverage of the West Valley track meets! Of course, you may have guessed my kids are in a couple of them. Halie is my daughter and seeing the coverage has been a great incentive for her to keep working, being this year has been a real challenge for a sophomore at the varsity level.
Last year she went with the 4x100m relay and 4x400 relays to state as a freshman, but this year is having to really work to have any success in anything. Thanks again for the enjoyable articles — and I’m hoping she’ll stick it out and maybe next year she’ll have more ‘first’ place finishes for her scrapbook.
Sincerely,
Dreah Linschoten, Cottonwood

North state residents are awesome for the support given to our military! Thank you to the Shasta County 4-H Poultry Project, its leaders, Dons Galewick, Sue Smallbrook, Leeann Sterns, Allison Bredveld, 4-H members, parents and friends of 4-H for allowing us to have the concession stand at the 4-H poultry show at Shasta College last month.
Thank you to Kent’s Meats & Groceries in Anderson for the hot dog donation. People were very supportive of the booth. We will now be able to send care packages to local military men and women who are protecting our nation.
They appreciate our support. Again, thank you 4-H and Kent’s Meats.
