The West Valley High School girls and the boys dominated the track and field meet Friday at West Valley. The Northern Athletic League titles found the Eagles with 205.5 points to second-place Corning with 89.
Alyssa Christensen took four events for West Valley. She won the 100 meters at 12.68 seconds, the 200 at 26.51 and set a meet record in the 300 hurdles with 45.56 and the 100 hurdles at 15.37.
West Valley’s Ashley Turner won the shot put with A 35-foot toss and the discus at 124-feet 9-inches. Rachelle Russell took the triple jump at 33-feet 11¾-inches and ran in the first-place 400-meter relay team with Amanda Oliva, Taylor Samuels and Stephanie Alward in 51.29. Michelle Johnson took the 1,600 in 5:13.48 and the 3,200 run in 11:56.22.
Josh McOmber took four events. The 100 in 11.29 and the long jump with 20-feet 8 ½-inches and then he set a West Valley record in the 110 hurdles with an 14.18 and went on to win the 300 hurdles in 39.19.
Jake Fuller set a meet record in the discus with a 178-feet 4-inch throw. Andy Miller won the shot put with a 46-foot 6-inch toss.
