GOING FOR THE KILL: Tabytha Wampler gets ready to spike the ball over the net as two Enterprise players go up in unison to try and stop her at Saturday’s Division III finals volleyball game.

Last Saturday evening in the gym at Foothill High School in Palo Cedro, the West Valley Eagles went up against the Hornets of Enterprise. The Lady Eagles, who had a 40-2 season, went up against the No. 2 Enterprise team in the section finals for a third straight year.

West Valley, in consistent play, took the Hornets 25-12, 25-17, 25-6. Tabytha Wampler had eight kills, Sarah Scott had nine. Bayley Bowman had 22 assists to help her teammates.

Enterprise, 15 and 22 for this season, seemed they couldn’t do anything right, especially in game three where many of the opening points were on errors.

West Valley has the Northern Section Division III title and on Tuesday night they hosted Analy High School, from Sebastopol, working for their first state playoff game.

Score results were not available as of press time.
