Photo Gallery: Old-fashioned Christmas in Cottonwood

A step back in time.

On Saturday, Nov. 24, Front Street in Cottonwood was blocked off to traffic so people could visit and mingle and watch the festivities taking place. Cottonwood returned, if only in the mind, to a place that once was. People talked, people smiled, people acknowledged old friends. Merchants sold their goods and it was a time to remember the things of the past. A horse drawn wagon taxied people around, old model automobiles parked in the area. Carolers sang, fiddlers fiddled, dancers danced, children visited Santa and Mrs. Claus.

It was stepping back to an old-fashioned Christmas in Cottonwood.
