MASS TACKLE: The Junior Midgets didn’t allow a South Siskiyou Knight to move too far in Mt. Shasta.

The Anderson Wildcats Youth Football league ended its regular season in Mt. Shasta against the South Siskiyou Knights last Saturday.

“The weather was decent but a lot colder then we are used to here in the valley,” said Wildcat Coordinator Dave Henderson.

The PeeWee squad put up a great fight and ended their season winless, but they did score in the game.

The Junior Midget Knights forfeited the game as the Knights did not have enough youngsters to field a team. They did play a scrimmage game but it does not count for the season.

The Junior Midget Wildcats now move to the first round of the playoffs against the Woodland Junior Wolves in Woodland who remain undefeated. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. in Woodland Oct. 27.

The Wildcat Midgets played a very conservative game as their game was also a forfeit by the Knights.

The Midgets sealed up third place in league and will now travel back to Wheatland. The Wildcats played Wheatland earlier in the season and beat them. Their game is scheduled at 4 p.m. at Wheatland High School this Saturday, Oct. 27.

Henderson said that anyone can keep up with Wildcat Youth Football news at www.andersonwildcats.com.
