Seana Austin, 34, of Cottonwood moved to Shasta County ten years ago after visiting her mother who lived here. Her family decided that they like the area, so they stayed. Austin is the Owner of Copy Cats Printing in Anderson which has been open for a year.
While at Copy Cats, Austin deals with the daily running of the shop which includes making copies, notary services, and various printing jobs. She also enjoys helping new businesses get set up with their business cards and other items. Austin enjoys the freedom of owning her own business.
She also sponsors community sports teams, such as Pop Warner Football, which her son Deshawn plays for. Before opening up Copy Cats, Austin worked for the City of Anderson in the Finance Department.
Austin coached basketball for two years for the Anderson Parks and Recreation Department during the 2005 and 2006 seasons.
She enjoys playing softball, basketball and tennis. She also enjoys going on tropical vacations.
Austin graduated from Bend High School in Oregon in 1991. After high school, she attended two years of college taking classes in nutrition.
Austin has been married to husband Larry for three years and has three children. They have lived in Cottonwood for three years. The North State’s warm weather and pretty surroundings are much appreciated by Austin.

My most embarrassing moment was: After getting off a seven-day cruise, deliriously tired and having a slip of the tongue, I asked a young male waiter for some “clean underware” instead of some “clean silverware.”

If I could change one thing about myself, I would: Learn to be more comfortable with public speaking forums.
