It was a great day for the Cottonwood Little League. Opening Ceremonies and a barbecue took place at the Cottonwood field off Gas Point Road. The field was humming with excitement as first year players and veteran ball players lined up to go.
Boys and girls carried banners showing their team spirit as they paraded through the infield and Ray Horner announced each team.
Baseball and softball teams consisted of kids of various ages and experience levels - but one thing all of them had in common - the desire to play baseball.
