CASSIDY STRIKES EM OUT:
West Valley junior Cassidy Olson sends in another strike at the Corning game on April 8.
West Valley has a 16-8-1 record in non-league play and a 2-0-0 record in the Northern Athletic League so far this season.
During the tournament games in March, Cassidy Olson came off the DL to start pitching again. A task she and Cierra Rovera shared last season.
The team did lose to Grants Pass, Ore., in non-league play, but since then the wins have been coming to the Lady Eagles as they get their team play refined.
Rovera has a 7.241 earned run average with six wins and four losses to her credit. She has struck out 66 batters. When she has been at bat, she has had five homeruns and 16 RBIs in 22 hits.
Nicki Feuerbach has a 1.200 ERA with five wins and three losses. She has 30 strikeouts. At bat she has two homeruns and 14 RBIs.
Junior Olson has a 0.500 ERA and five wins with 48 strikeouts. Olson has been at bat four time with one run.
