A walk-a-about that took place last week was attended by 11 community members including three youths. Three areas were chosen by the walkers to see how safe were the routes.
The first route walked was from the elementary school along Happy Valley Road to Olinda Road to May Bell. The second was to the primary school and on to Happy Spot Market. The third area was Happy Valley Road to Hawthorne, then a bike ride from the Country Market down Happy Valley Road to Coyote.
Barbara Jackson from Healthy Eating Active Communities (HEAC) said it was quite an experience.

Well, I’m headed for Reno. My Aunt Johanna is turning 88. The family has invited Art and me to come and celebrate. Take care of yourselves, call a relative you have not heard from in a long time, especially those who are elderly, I lost an aunt this year and I am glad that Art and I had the foresight to keep in touch with her over the years prior to her passing. Recycle and volunteer.
