Teens enjoy free movies
A free, outdoor movie series for teenagers began July 28 by Planned Parenthood: Shasta-Diablo (PPSD). The event was the first of five drug- and alcohol-free events focused towards keeping teens busy and safe during the summer months.
The Outdoor Movie Extravaganza will take place the second and fourth Mondays of every month through September. On Aug. 11, 25, and Sept. 8 as well as Sept. 22, youth are invited to Volonte Park’s baseball field from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. for an outdoor movie experience. PPSD staff supervises all events. All movies will be rated PG or G and snacks are provided.
