Four candidates seek 3 Council seats
By the 5 p.m. deadline Friday, Aug. 8, four candidates were qualified for three four-year seats on the Anderson City Council: Phil Burnett, Norma Comnick, Melissa Hunt and James Yarbrough.
Burnett is completing his second four-year term.
Hunt will face her first election since an appointment in January 2007 to fill the unexpired term of Les Baugh, who was elected to the Shasta County Board of Supervisors.
Comnick was appointed to the council in April 1996. She won election in 2000 and re-election in 2004.
Yarbrough is a first-time candidate for the Anderson council.
