Construction of the planned Sun City Tehama senior housing development south of Cottonwood likely won’t begin until 2010 at the earliest, Del Webb’s senior vice president said Thursday, Aug. 7.

The anemic housing market continues to put a stranglehold on the 3,100-acre “active adult” community that was approved by Tehama County planners in 2006.
