Julie Marker
Julie Marker, 43, of Anderson died August 21 at Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding. Arrangements are pending at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding (243-1525).
David Michael McAuliffe
David Michael McAuliffe, 54 passed away on August 19, 2008.
David was born March 11, 1954 in Redding, CA to Patrick and Helen McAuliffe and was a resident of Cottonwood for over 30 years.
Services will be held Monday August 25th at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Parish, Anderson with reception to follow.
He is survived by his daughters Tera McAuliffe of Cottonwood, Jenny Wicks and husband Charles of Cottonwood; Grandsons CJ and Travis; Brothers Jim McAuliffe and wife Wanda of Cottonwood, Paul McAuliffe and wife Sharon of Bellvue, WA; Sister Susan Buckingham of Seattle, WA; Sister-in-law Kathy McAuliffe of Cottonwood; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Patrick McAuliffe and Joesph McAuliffe, and son Christopher McAuliffe.
James G. McCoy
James G. McCoy, 75, of Anderson died Saturday at home. Arrangements are pending at Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Anderson (365-5466).
Linda Watkins
Linda Watkins, 60, of Cottonwood, died Saturday, August 9, 2008, surrounded by her immediate family following a long illness. She was born April 24, 1948 in San Jose Calif., the daughter of Louis and Flourence (Bain) Morgan. She graduated from Anderson High School in California. On October 13, 1965 she married Larry Watkins in Couch, Montana.
She was a stay-at-home mom, dedicated to caring for her family. She sold Avon for years and worked on the 2000 census as a counter.
She was a life member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and the Tri-County Bird Club in Redding, Calif.
One of her passions was raising birds. At one time, she raised and cared for 200 exotic birds, caring for them from egg to hatchling, which she hand-fed. She loved to make bird toys for them to play on. One of her favorite birds was a Scarlett Macaw named Magic.
She also loved to scrapbook, which she passed on to her daughters and granddaughters, quilting and enjoying time with her family.
She will be remembered for her time spent in the kitchen, baking treats and was best-known for her home-made bread. She was known as “Honey” by her grandson Kaleb.
In 2004, she, Larry and their youngest daughter Tori moved to Minnesota to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Florence Morgan.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Larry; a son, Ken (Andrea) Watkins, daughter, Crystal (John) Koza, son, Stacy Watkins, and daughters Tina Kenoyer and Tori Watkins, all of Minnesota; grandchildren, Nathan Koza, Ashley Koza, Doug Watkins, Nik Koza, Joey Kenoyer, Sean Watkins, Echo Watkins, Kaleb Watkins and Ethen Watkins; one great-grandchild, Gavyn Koza; two brothers, Bill Morgan and Douglas Morgan; and a sister, DeAnne Smith, all of California.
A celebration of her life is planned at a later date.
