The sun came out on Super Tuesday and voters at precincts around Anderson reflected that sunshine in their moods.
Ressie Massingham, Lorraine Mitchell, Barbara Davis and Bob Lewis were at the 50th precinct at the Anderson Fire Protection District fire station. They all agreed that it was “business as usual” for the early voters but then, as the day progressed, and people came in to vote they seemed to have a “happy, upbeat” attitude as they checked their names and received their ballots.
Mike Brockman, at the two precincts inside the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Balls Ferry Road, echoed the fire station voting crew when he said that everyone was very “cooperative and upbeat,” when asked to assess the mood of the voters.
The final vote count for presidential primaries and state ballot measures was completed Feb. 7, at 8:20 a.m.
