Owner, Lunch Box Deli

SHEILA WORRALL

SHEILA WORRALL

Sheila Worrall moved to Shasta County in 1977 with her family, from Chicago. Her extended family moved to California first, so the family packed up their belongings and moved along with them. Worrall graduated from Enterprise High School in 1984 then continued on to Shasta College earning her Associate in Arts Degree in General Business.

One of Worralls goals in life was to be able to open her own business. When the Lunch Box Deli was for sale two years ago, the Worrall family came across the opportunity to buy the deli in a conversation with friends. They went to look at it and fell in love. They then decided that they wanted to buy the deli.

August 11th will be the Worrall’s second anniversary with the business. The deli had been open for a year before the Worrall’s purchased it. It is creatively decorated in red and white, featuring Coca-Cola memorabilia on the walls. Worrall has four employees, two of which started as ROP students (Regional Occupations Program) working at the deli and are graduates of Anderson High School.

Worrall’s favorite part about the job is the interaction and the relationship that she has with the customers.

“We have a lot of dedicated customers. We are a part of their lives and they are a part of ours. We are friends with our customers,” said Worrall.

Worrall is an avid collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia and has been collecting it for approximately 23 years. She enjoys the nostalgia in the product.

Worall has different Coca-Cola items from around the world. The family Christmas tree is decorated in Coca-Cola items each year, and has been able to go to Atlanta and visit, “Coca-Cola World,” twice.

When Worrall is not working at the deli, she is spending quality time with her family playing softball, hiking, swimming and playing with the family dogs.

Worrall has been married to her husband Craig for 14 years, they have a daughter, Erica who is 10 years old.
