The Youth Violence Prevention Council of Shasta County will hold its Eighth Annual Golf Tournament at The Golf Club, Tierra Oaks, 19700 La Crescenta Drive in Redding on Aug. 1.
Registration will be at 7 a.m., with tee-off at 8 a.m. This benefit golf tournament will help support the programs of Youth Violence Prevention Council. These programs include Shasta County Peer Court, Youth Pastors Alliance, Graffiti Eradication and Shasta Youth Leadership Camp, all which help promote a safe and healthy community for youth, and all citizens of Shasta County.
The public is invited to participate. Registration fee of $100 includes green fees, driving range privileges, two carts per foursome and a buffet lunch.
All golfers will also be automatically entered in a drawing for a Bridge Bay houseboat vacation and other prices. There will also be a $10,000 hole-in-one prize.
An awards ceremony will conclude the event and include awards for the top team, closest to the pin and accuracy drive.
Golfers may register individually and be assigned to foursome, or enter as a team. Corporate hole sponsorships are available for $200.
