Billions of ants are threatening a hostile take-over of our home. Millions have lost their lives in the “revolution” and we are determined to conquer them. But they sure have a multitude of forces. We have lethal spray. They have numbers, and it seems like they even have a strategy. My daughter and I argued yesterday over whether the tiny little creatures have brains. I insisted on instinct. She is convinced they have a capacity to reason.
Just when you think you’ve killed them on one front, they shift the battleground. It could be time for the exterminator. These little ants represent a constant stream of temptations that move unwanted into the crevices of my brain. I kill them, but more are right behind. Millions on the move determined to contaminate my life. Like ants, temptations keep coming.
The Bible says, “Resist!” Never stop resisting! And kill the corrupt desires wherever you see them.
