Wildlife rescue group slates Run for the Wild
Shasta Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation is registering participants for its 8th annual Run for the Wild, set for Saturday, April 5, in the Anderson River Park.
In addition to the six-mile Coyote Run and two-mile Walk/Rabbit-Run, a Hatchling quarter-mile is open for preschoolers through fifth-grade students. The 2- and 6-mile events begin at 8:30 a.m. and the quarter-mile run starts at 10 a.m.
Registration forms are due by March 29. The cost is $20 for adults if a shirt is desired, or $13 without a shirt. For those 18 years of age or younger, the cost is $12 with a shirt and $5 without a shirt.
Late registration is an additional $5.
Run for the Wild entry forms are available at the Fleet Feet running store in the Discovery Village mall on Dana Drive, Redding, and at various workout places throughout Shasta County.
Participants are encouraged to dress in their favorite wild animal costume.
