The Modesto Christian Crusaders were fast and dead-on shooters. They made Anderson turnover the ball because of their aggressiveness.
Senior guard Megan Remley had hit a long 3-pointer to give Anderson some spark but Modesto kept pouring it on.
The Lady Cubs, were the Northern Section champions after their game with Yreka. Their regular season ended with a 23-5 record. For most of this year, Anderson had hurt teams on the inside by getting the ball to Molly Morton and Amrallina Rowland. Most passes by the Anderson girls never reached their intended receivers because of the Modesto team.
Morton was the only Lady Cub to hit 10 points.
The scoreboard started to blink in the second quarter of the game, signaling that the opening round of the Northern California Division IV regional playoff game was the last for the Lady Cubs this season.
