Anderson police, with an assist from a Shasta County Sheriff’s deputy, arrested two men early Tuesday, March 11, after they allegedly stole a flat-screen television from the Wal-Mart Superstore in Anderson.

Police were dispatched to the store at about 3:15 a.m. Tuesday on a report of a theft in progress. The reporting party gave a description of the vehicle the two men allegedly left in and the sheriff’s deputy stopped the car on Deschutes Road at Locust Street in Anderson.

Anderson police arrested Roberto Simone Sansalone, 22, of Redding and Jason Earl Visser, 27, or Redding. Both were booked into the Shasta County Jail on suspicion of theft.

The television was valued at $1,680.
