Cassidy is back

Eagle Junior, Cassidy Olson had her first game back from breaking her non-throwing arm. She struck out 13 batters in five innings, including the first 11 hitters she faced at the Anderson Cubs Classic tournament. She walked one, gave up one hit and led the Eagles in a 7-0 win over Eureka.

Nicki Feuerbach went 3-for-3 and also struck out four batters in the 11-1 win over Hamilton City on Friday.

West Valley’s Megan Mazanec made it to base three out of her four times up. She doubled twice and drove in three runs. Cierra Rovera put a three-run home run over the white fence at Big League Dreams park in Redding.

Mazanec had homered in the West Valley 9-5 win over Union Mine from El Dorado. Bayley Bowman drove in three runs and Feuerbach went 2-for-3 with a double. Rovera picked up the win and gave up four earned runs, scattered three hits and struck out seven.
