AUHS, WV team up for ‘Wizard'
In a joint venture, Anderson Union High School and West Valley High School are cooperating with Tams-Witmark Music Library, Inc., to present on stage L. Frank Braum's "The Wizard of Oz."
The play is based upon the classic motion picture owned by Turner Entertainment Co. and distributed in all media by Warner Bros.
Expect the stage to come alive with all the classic characters. Dorothy will click her magic ruby slippers, monkeys will fly across the stage and playgoers will be magically transported to the Emerald City.
"The special effects will astound you!" wrote production publicist Debbie Schlueter.
Performances begin Nov. 11-15 at 7 p.m. and a special matinee finale will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16. All performances will be at the Anderson Union High School Performing Arts Center, 1471 Ferry St., in Anderson.
Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students.
Tickets go on sale Monday, Oct. 20. Call the ticket information line with any questions, 365-2741 ext. 1671. Please order carefully, there will be no refunds or exchanges.

This will be a great play, can't wait!!! The teachers who work with these kids are awesome. It is a shame that the Anderson Valley Post didn't have enough sense to mention their Names!
