Pow Wow slated for Sept. 12 through 14

The Redding Rancheria is proud to present the 2008 Stillwater Pow Wow on Sept. 12-14, at the Shasta District Fairgrounds in Anderson.
The Stillwater pow wow is a community gathering to showcase traditional dancing, drumming, food and jewelry in a cultural atmosphere to all families.
The admission price for the Stillwater Pow Wow is $3.
Each night will begin with a grand entry which includes an entrance by the Hu' Puus Witam, all Native American color guard, and followed by greetings from our local dignitaries.
Following the grand entry will be various competitions such as drumming, dancing and an overall competition for Miss, Jr. Miss and Little Miss Stillwater.
There will be specialty dancing showcasing hoop, Tolowa, California Feather, and the Yurok Dancers.
Grand entry begins at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 12 p.m. on Sunday.

don't we see enough Indain activity at the Casino, their hotel and gas station, which they gouge once again with their gas prices. No one cares!
