Anderson Union High School music teacher Nancy Dutton and Happy Valley Elementary School teacher Karri Westaby were two of seven teachers who recently received $250 mini-grants from the Mt. Shasta Division of the California Retired Teachers Association.
The Mt. Shasta Division includes Shasta, Modoc and Trinity counties.
Proposed uses for the grants include purchasing standards-based CDs, obtaining artifacts connected to learning about Chinese culture and buying medical supplies.
