The hunting season for Easter eggs may be short, but no licenses are required for children looking to get in on the action. Both the Lions Club of Anderson and the Happy Valley Fire Department are holding Easter Egg hunts in their respective communities on April 12, Easter morning.
The Anderson Lions Club have purchased 1,440 eggs to color and hide in KC Grove at the Anderson River Park, 2800 Rupert Rd. The hunt is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. sharp and ends quickly. Late-comers would be disappointed, according to club secretary Skip O'Brien, who added that the club has held the event for about 40 years.
The Happy Valley Fire Department has also scheduled an Easter egg hunt at 9 a.m. at 17441 Palm Ave. Children 12-years-old and under are welcome to join the hunt.
