Anderson Heights Elementary School, at 1530 Spruce St. in Anderson, experienced a brief lock-down this Thursday afternoon, ending at roughly 2:15 p.m.
"This was in response to notification and in coordination with law enforcement agencies attempting to issue a high-risk warrant in the area near the school," according to a written statement from Cascade Union Elementary District Supervisor Wes Smith. "There was not an imminent threat to our students. We took every precaution necessary possible, erring on the side of caution to ensure our students were not in harm's way."
Further details were not immediately available from the APD.
