Keys and Strings Studio to hold first CWD community concert

Cottonwood's own music salon, Keys and Strings Studio, will hold its first Cottonwood Community Concert on Saturday, April 25, at North Cottonwood School.

The recital will feature students playing at levels ranging from beginning to advanced performances in bluegrass, classical, folk, gospel, country and contemporary music, said Martha Boyle, who co-owns the business with her husband, Jeff, both of Cottonwood.

The event will showcase the students and their monumental musical achievements attained this year, as well as allow the teachers to demonstrate some of the finer skills, she said.

Participants will play several instruments including the fiddle, piano, guitar and trumpet, among others, Boyle added.

The Cottonwood Community Concert will begin at 7 p.m. A cookie social will follow the recital.
