The 2009 Whole Earth Festival and 2009 Watershed Festival is scheduled for Saturday April 25, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Redding City Hall Sculpture Park and Community Room, 777 Cypress Ave.

A regional event in celebration of Earth Day 2009 featuring over 70 different exhibitors including government agencies, educational organizations, non-profits, and businesses. There will be great food, live music throughout the day, fantastic interactive presentations and give aways, a recycled art show featuring regional artists with innovative ideas, children's and youth activities including a Watershed Passport Program and a student video contest.

The purpose of this free event is to teach people about actions they can take as individuals and as a regional community to increase the awareness of how we are impacting our earth, our watersheds and other natural resources, our local businesses, our building and growth in the northern California area as we move towards the goal of more sustainable living. By bringing together numerous organizations, businesses, and individuals in celebration of Earth Day 2009 we hope to inspire a commitment to live more sustainably, build community, and have fun!
