Gabby Denson was born in Redding and raised in Los Molinos.
She moved to Shasta County in 1996 to live closer to family. Denson has been with Tri-Counties Bank for seven years, working out of the Palo Cedro and Cottonwood branches. Denson is a senior teller and works in the areas of new accounts, loans, sales and monitors progress in her area of the bank.
Denson enjoys being a part of the Cottonwood Tri-Counties branch since she is able to do volunteer work in the community along with her fellow co-workers. One of their biggest projects is the barbecue that takes place after the kiddie parade during Cottonwood Rodeo Week. She also helps with the Cottonwood Fire Protection District's fundraisers and the Angel Tree that appears in the bank branch lobby each Christmas.
The Angel Tree helps to make sure that all the community's needy children receive clothing and other items at Christmas.
Denson's favorite part of her job at the bank is the small-town atmosphere and being able to provide personal customer service.
"Our customers are not just numbers, they are like family to us," stated Denson.
At some point in the future, Denson would like to become a branch manager for Tri-Counties.
Denson's advice for someone who would like to go into the business of banking is that you need to be a people person and be able to deal with customers every day. When customers are upset, don't take what they say personally. Do your best and give the best customer service possible.
Denson is a 1993 graduate of Los Molinos High School. After graduating high school, she attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and took classes in business administration.
In her free time, Denson enjoys spending time with family, riding bikes, hiking, reading and spending time outdoors.
She has been married for three years to her husband, Greg. Together, they are raising two children, Natalia and Isabella.
