The Shasta College Arts, Communications and Social Sciences division will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, showcasing the Community Chorale and Women's Ensemble in the Shasta College Theatre. Both groups are directed by Dr. Elizabeth Waterbury.
Featured on the program is Psalm 42 by Felix Mendelssohn, accompanied by Ellen Southard on piano.
Soloists include Jocelyn Olson - soprano, Ken Westrick - tenor, and Robert Waterbury - bass.
The delightful comedy, "The Coffee Cantata," will feature soprano Elizabeth Boyle and baritone Chris Withrow.
The cantata tells the story of a father who is concerned about his daughter's coffee habit.
The Women's Ensemble will perform works by Pergolesi and a setting of "Black is the Color of my True Love's Hair" by Nathaniel Adams.
Tickets are only available at the door. General admission is $7 while seniors and students pay $5 each.
