WRONG WAY: Frankie Stevenson, of Redding, is interviewed by CHP Officer Anderson after driving along the railway north of Anderson.

Frankie Stevenson, of Redding, drove south on northbound Hwy. 273 before turning onto the railroad tracks at the Spring Gulch Road crossing. She continued driving on the railway for an additional 140 feet before stranding her automobile at about 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, according to CHP Officer Anderson.

Union Pacific was contacted to cease train traffic in the area.

Although no train was enroute at the time, "she missed three trains by a short time," Anderson said. "It was a very fortunate result. They don't always end that way."

Upon inspection, medical personnel said Stevenson did not appear to be intoxicated or otherwise impaired, Anderson said.

The CHP's investigation is ongoing.

She used to work at Costco (still might) she has some kind of disorder I don't know what it is like bipolar or something. She has a hard time working with others is all I know. She doesn't even seem aware of the fact that she had done something wrong,(in the picture) LOL. Is that Sierra Pacific in the background? All those guys at the mill probably got a kick out of watching it all. Poor Frankie.

"UwishUknew" must be a very unhappy person to write such nonsense. I have known Frankie for nearly 30 years. She is not bipolar nor does she have a hard time working with others. She is very aware of what happened! She had a car accident!!! She is grateful than nobody was hurt. Ask around and you will find that she has many, many friends that love and support her. Poor UwishUknew.
