William Beam, 48, and Patricia Pesstti,46, were arrested north of Anderson April 24 for non-compliance related to their registry as sexual offenders. The two were stopped in a vehicle together and Pesstti was found under the influence of narcotics, according to Shasta County Detective Wes Collette.
Law enforcement was able to track Beam with a GPS device secured to his ankle.
A compliance check of 33 registered offenders was carried out by law enforcement agencies. Thirty were found in compliance.
