Chamber to hold mixer Friday

The Ambassador program of Anderson Chamber of Commerce will hold a barbecue mixer from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, at the Gaia Hotel Amphitheater in Anderson River Park.

The adult-only event is open to the public and, of course, all chamber members are encouraged to attend, said Irish Robertson, chamber executive.

"Come join us for an evening of great food, friendship and entertainment," Robertson urged Monday.

A donation of $7 buys a barbecue dinner of hamburgers and chips or hot dogs and chips provided by the Anderson Wal-Mart SuperCenter. A no-host beverage station will offer beer, wine and an assortment of soft drinks.

Entertainment will be provided by the "Out of the Blue Band," a versatile group that plays Classic Rock music from the 1950s through the early '80s, Robertson said. The band is sponsored by Gale Force Productions.

You posted "as usual....80 per cent members from Redding. Few join from Anderson". Problem is the event was not held until one day after your post.
