Marigold Antique and Collectibles Mall keeps growing. After the Anderson antique mall annexed an adjacent storefront at the Gateway Center in October 2008 when Mercado Latino moved out, another opportunity presented itself in June 2009.
The addition of yet another adjacent storefront adds 1,400-square feet to the mall for a total of 5,400-square feet, co-owner Debbie Parret said. She added that the as the 2008 annex filled-out in two weeks, and hoped that the latest addition goes as successfully.
"It's one of those 'build it and they will come' kind of things," Parret said.
Of eleven available spaces, six were already rented out to dealers before the addition opened, she said. Independent dealers hand 10 percent of their sales to the antique mall, Parret said.
The mall is located at 2684 Gateway Dr. in Anderson.
