Lassen Hills Cellars, located east of Redding, has brought back a 1980s favorite - the wine cooler - but this time the adult beverages are made with locally grown grapes and natural fruit flavors.
Shasta Coolers come in two flavors - pomegranate/exotic berry and sangria - and have a retail price of $6.99 for a four-pack, said Lassen Hills Cellars co-owner Sam Marovich, who created the Shasta Cooler concept.
Locally, the packaged drinks are available at Handi Spot Market in Anderson and Kent's Meats & Groceries on Airport Road north of Anderson, among other locations.
