Music fest raises funds for animals

A week after the Mosquito Serenade finale, four musical acts will keep Anderson River Park's amphitheater rocking on Saturday, Aug. 22, care of Another Chance Animal Welfare League and the City of Anderson.

With a $15 entry fee to benefit the no-kill animal shelter, concert-goers can enjoy live music from 3:30 to 9:30 p.m. Musical acts include Tom Rigney and Flambeau, a Bay Area violinist/composer specializing in Cajun and Zydeco music; Incendio, a Latin guitar fusion group based in L.A.; Jim Dyar Band, a Redding group playing American roots music including bluegrass and folk; and song writer and guitarist Bruno Grossi.

While ice chests will not be permitted, food and beverage and alcohol vendors are to attend the event. Pets are also not permitted to the event.

Another Chance Animal Welfare League is a no-kill animal shelter that operates by using foster homes for its animals since August 2005. For more information, contact 547-7387.
