Tickets to the Exchange Club of Redding's Air Show 2009, featuring the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels, are now on sale at Raley's stores in Redding, Red Bluff and Chico. The air show is Saturday, Sept. 26, and Sunday, Sept. 27, at the Redding Municipal Airport. Gates open at 8 a.m. for the static displays. General admission prices for adults are $10 presale and $15 at the gate. Children between the ages of 6-11 are $5.
General admission tickets, as well as tickets to the semi-exclusive Flight Deck, also are available online at www.reddingairshow.com.
Frontline pavilions are still available.
In addition to the world's top jet demo team, the air show features the U.S. Army Golden Knights skydiving team, an aerial demo by the U.S. Air Force's A-10 Warthog jet, a B-25 Mitchell bomber made famous in Doolittle's raid on Tokyo, a Grumman Hellcat fighter, a Japanese Zero, a P-40 Warhawk - the plane flown by the Flying Tigers early in WWII, an AT-6, a Yak-9 and a Super Stearman.
