Skating a big draw, event not crowded

While stating how pleased he was with attendance at his Christmas Holiday Spectacular event held at the Shasta District Fair grounds in Anderson, Jim McDilda gave a short list of changes for next year.

Even though vendors will vacate the premises on Dec. 26, the train rides and skating rink will remain open through Jan. 2, 2011. The skating rink was by far the most popular attraction, he said, adding he hopes to provide a larger rink.

Also, will only open on weekends the first few weeks. During school, weekdays were really quiet, he said.
