Cubs boys tied for first

The Anderson High School boys basketball team won both of their games last week, moving themselves into a first-place tie with West Valley in the Northern Athletic League race.

The Cubs had a 57-47 win over Lassen on Tuesday.

Senior Ty Meyer had seven first-half points and a game-high 19, while Garrett McCurdy added 11 in the first half and finished with 16.

The Cubs continued their strong play on Friday with an easy victory over Yreka, 62-37.

The Cubs had four players in double figures in the road win over the Miners.

Trevor Eide led Big Blue with 13 points, while Randy Bunyard had 12.
