The West Valley Eagles and the Anderson Cubs met out on the soccer field to see what the out come of their final match of the season against one another would result in on Tuesday Jan. 28.
In both the boys and girls games, the West Valley Eagles came out on top.
The West Valley Boys won their game 6-0 with Ray Close, Gabe Deckert, Dylan Fematt, Fransisco Patino, Jorge Partida and Jose Rincon. Assists in both of the goals were made by junior, Ray Close.
At the other end of the soccer complex, the girls played a tough game against one another. The close and competitive game resulted in a 2-0 shut out by the West Valley Girls team. Goals were scored by Kelsie Heffner and Taylor Moebes respectively.
A huge highlight of the game was the hard work put forth by Anderson's goalie, Senior Kristie Koehn blocked more than her share of shots on goal during the game.
The Anderson Cubs will play their final game of the season against Yreka at Anderson River Park on Feb. 5.
The West Valley will play Corning on Feb. 5th for their final game of the season.
