Cottonwood chamber holds naming contest for parade

The Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce Rodeo Parade Committee is holding a contest to name this year's 47th annual Mother's Day Rodeo Parade to be held Saturday, May 9.

The winning entry will receive a pair of tickets to a performance of the CCPRCA Rodeo held at the Bobby Jones Arena in Cottonwood.

To be considered, all entries must be received no later than Feb. 21. Previous year's themes have included Cowboy Heaven, Wild West Days and Planet Cottonwood. Please note on your entry envelope — Parade Theme Contest — and mail it to: Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce, P. O. Box 584, Cottonwood, CA 96022. The next parade committee meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27, at the Eagles' Nest in Cottonwood. All interested volunteers are invited to come and share their ideas.
