Dear Editor,
This is in regard to Marianne Olstad's letter appearing in the Feb. 11 Valley Post.
I, too, am a long-time subscriber to the Valley Post. I find Winifred Maker's column refreshing and it is one of the first things I turn to in the paper.
I have a lot of respect for our older citizens as they usually speak from past experiences and history. As for her total lack of understanding and limited views on our new President, it would seem you have not looked into his (economic) stimulus package that he wants to pass. Not only will we be paying for it, but it will carry on to our grandchildren and do little to help our economy.
From what I have seen so far of Barack Obama, he seems to indeed be going in for "on the job training."
