The West Valley varsity boys basketball team had another hard break against Lassen on Thursday, 57-62, just days after losing a championship tie-breaker to Anderson.
The Eagles are now 4-4 in league play and 13-9 overall.
West Valley is third in Northern Athletic League standings, behind Corning and Anderson, who are currently tied (6-2) for first.
The team is in a four-game losing streak, but they will have a chance to finish strong next week in their last two league games against Yreka and Corning.
